- Athletic Scholarship for basketball and baseball to Belmont University
- Drafted in the 2nd round by the Milwaukee Brewers in 1969
- Played 7 years of professional baseball - 4 seasons in the Major Leagues
- Milwaukee Brewers Rookie Pitcher of the Year - 1972
- Elected to the Belmont University Athletic Hall of Fame - 1992
- Over 30 years of baseball coaching experience
- Board of Directors of the Old Timers Baseball Association
- State Baseball Director for American Legion Baseball in Tennessee with an affiliation to USA Baseball.
